Example CowPhotos.com GPS Tool - Importing into Microsoft's Mappoint .

A tool for converting GPS Datalogger (click here for details) csv files into a format which can be imported into a number of common mapping products, for example Memory Map (click here for details) or Microsoft's Mappoint (click here for details) software. The tool creates csv type files which can be imported into the mapping applications using the applications own import filters and wizards.

Requires Windows 98SE or greater. No need to install the tool is standalone. Just save to a folder or desktop.

Run gps-tool.demo.exe

Select Mappoint (.txt), then from the menu select Open and Convert.

Choose the Datalogger CSV file you want to convert.

A .txf file is created in the same location as the .csv file you have just imported. Now open Microsoft's Mappoint.

Select Import Data Wizard from the Menu.

Select the .txt file created by GPS Tool.

Select Comma.

Then click Finish.

Data is imported.

Select Pushpin.

Choose a colour.
